When we pay for something to be delivered, it’s only natural that we have to wait for some time before it arrives. But the duration of our waiting periods can vary between items and types of service. For example, if we’re shipping an item from abroad, we’ll probably have to wait a few days to weeks or even months for it to arrive. If it’s local food delivery, we can be assured that it can arrive within the hour.

The general rule is that the faster the delivery, the pricier the cost of the delivery service will be. That’s why delivery services in Malaysia offer different prices for fast (or “express,” as it’s also known) services. But are faster services really worth it?

Pros and cons of fast delivery

Delivery services are just getting faster and faster. The fastest type of delivery service that you can avail of is same day delivery services in Malaysia. Something that you ordered or shipped could be delivered to its recipient later in the day. Who wouldn’t want that?

But there are tradeoffs that you have to consider when choosing this type of speedy delivery. Here are the pros and cons of single day or same-day delivery.

Pros

1.You can be assured that the items are always on time.

Your buyers will surely be happy about the speedy delivery. This can gain you happy return customers and an edge over the competition.

2.No need to worry about meeting deadlines.

Need to ship something fast to meet a deadline? Same day delivery is almost guaranteed to get your item there before the time is up.

Cons

1.Same day delivery is always the most expensive option.

Delivering this fast doesn’t come without a price. Expedited delivery means prioritising speed above all else, which means more expensive shipping.

2.Impossible to meet the demands of buyers outside the serviceable range.

Same day delivery is usually done locally. International buyers or buyers who are too far will inflate the costs of shipping to the point that it wouldn’t be cost-efficient anymore.
